As part of the second edition of the Salon de la nouvelle gastronomie, the semi-final of the very first edition of the French-Haitian culinary competition was organized by the Investa Group and the "St-Barth Goût et Saveurs" association. », In partnership with the French Embassy which finances this competition.

28 participating chefs, selected from 250 chefs aged 22 and over, were in competition to present original recipes on the theme of guinea fowl (stuffed or not, whole or not, accompanied by a sauce or juice and three garnitures), The Ambassador of France, Mrs. Elisabeth Beton Delègue, as well as the Head of the residence of France, Olivier Perigault, participated in the selection jury.

For Chef Jean Luc Grabrowski, President of the Association "St Barth Goût et Saveurs" this competition is "a unique opportunity to discover the young talents of Haitian gastronomy and facilitate exchanges between great chefs and young cooks while enhancing that sector".

The final of the competition will take place on August 13, 2016 in Cap-Haitien. In addition to the numerous bonuses offered by the event's sponsors, the three winners will be offered professional training for three months in Saint-Barth to improve their knowledge. _AF
