During the last Territorial Council, President Aline Hanson addressed the topic of European funding. “Over the period 2014-2020, the European Social Fund, of 10 million euros, will help to support actions for access to employment for young people and access to qualifications for the public remote from employment” , she said. Thanks to these credits, several mechanisms have been put in place: “Nine actions of the 2015-2016 regional vocational training program, including five qualifying training courses from BEP / CAP to Bac + 2 level. And the territorial higher education scholarship system for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 university years ”, specified the president. The Executive Council has already validated 11 ESF grant allocations. It should be noted that over the past two years, the role of the ESF has been strengthened: “Greater importance is being given to the fight against youth unemployment”, according to the European Commission.
