The National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (Inrap) invites the population this Friday to a visit of Fort Louis from 11 a.m. to 15 p.m., as part of the archaeological diagnosis of this historic monument - until October 6 - built in XVIIIth.

"The archeology department of the cultural affairs department (Dac) of Guadeloupe prescribed a preventive archaeological diagnosis in order to assess the impact of the work on the monument," explains the institute. Elected officials will also be entitled to a visit in the morning since the Collectivity is piloting this project. Emmanuel Moizan, head of operations at the institute, will present this diagnosis. The public is invited to go to the prefecture parking lot for the start of the visit. _EH
