FOOTBALL / General Assembly of the League: the development of football in Saint-Martin continues

The Ordinary General Assembly of the Saint-Martin Football League was held successfully on Sunday, December 10 in the premises of the CCISM. The event brought together members of the league as well as representatives of the island's football clubs.

Under the chairmanship of Aristide Conner, this meeting addressed the following points: the opening of the Assembly and welcoming remarks, the reading and approval of the minutes of the previous Ordinary General Assembly in November 2022, the report moral and financial of the president, the presentation of the forecast budget for 2023-2024 and various questions.

The General Assembly was an opportunity for members to discuss various crucial subjects for the development of football in Saint-Martin, particularly with regard to initiatives aimed at promoting the practice of football, the organization of competitions and training, as well as the administrative and financial management of the league.

When reading his moral report, the president of the league addressed the audience: “The Saint-Martin Football League unfortunately does not have any sports facilities. They all belong to the Territorial Collectivity of Saint-Martin. We really hope that 2024 will be the year that marks a new page on the infrastructure aspect. It is high time to take into consideration the importance of the quality of the pitches, for our/your training sessions as well as for matches in order to allow our licensees a real increase in performance and quality of play.

We hope that the Community will be able to hear our voice so that it is made aware of this major issue, and as I told you, as the first sports association, we will never give up to make ourselves heard!

And then thanks to the tremendous work carried out by the women's commission, for the development of women's football put in place by my teams, we would also like to congratulate Naima Jermin, selected to participate in the federal Overseas phase which took place in Clairefontaine .

The Youth Label was awarded to Junior Stars. The “Youth Label” is a certification issued by football governing bodies, such as the French Football Federation (FFF) or similar organizations in other countries. This label aims to recognize and reward football clubs which set up quality training structures for young players, while promoting the educational and sporting values ​​of football.

The Saint-Martin Football League is delighted with the positive outcome of this General Assembly and the recognition granted to educators and local clubs. These events reinforce the league’s ongoing commitment to the improvement and promotion of football on the island.

We warmly thank all the participants, the members of the league, the representatives of the football clubs as well as the educators for their commitment and dedication to the development of football in Saint-Martin. Their contribution is essential to ensure the continued growth of our sport and to provide enriching opportunities for young players as well as the entire Saint-Martin football community.

The Saint-Martin Football League is committed to continuing its efforts to promote values ​​such as fair play, discipline and team spirit, while promoting inclusion and diversity within our community athletic ".

– Seniors: Mr. GRAHAM Glen

Without forgetting Stéphane Auvray and Abdias Milius for the rise of the Saint-Martin selection in Concacaf League B, as well as Marcéna Jasaron and Joseph Mendy for winning the Concacaf U15 tournament.
