With his friendly air, his bouncing belly, his long red dress and his white beard, the children were amazed to see Santa Claus appearing on Wednesday December 21 at the opening of the Christmas village with his basket full of gifts!
Everyone knows that in a day or two, Santa Claus will find himself overwhelmed with work. This is why the Collectivity and its Cultural Affairs department decided to invite him on Wednesday, December 21 before he begins his big tour of homes. And the old gentleman with the white beard freed himself for a moment to make the little Saint-Martinois dream. Santa, Father Christmas arrived with his arms full of gifts and delicacies for all these well-behaved children. The wonder could be read in everyone's eyes and smiles. The gifts were distributed from 17 p.m. and everyone was entitled to their photo with Santa Claus.
Carols, Christmas poems, dances, plays were also on the program for this friendly and warm afternoon.
The Christmas festivities continue on the Sea Front this Friday, December 23 with the traditional competition of pies, puddings and punches from 17 p.m. to 20 p.m. followed by the “XMAS SHIN DING” concert from 20 p.m. to 23 p.m.
Saturday, December 24, from 8 a.m. to 14 p.m., a large Christmas market is still organized on the Sea Front at the Christmas village with the presence of many local exhibitors. The opportunity to discover local specialties that should tickle your taste buds!_AF
