CELEBRATIONS: The House of Father Christmas, heritage of Saint-Martin

0

Everyone knows her, whether you live on the island or are visiting, the Santa House located at Cripple Gate is a ritual not to be missed.

It is always in the tradition of the end of year celebrations that Bernardine and Monique Joe welcome the public impatient to discover this den dedicated to Christmas. If the global health crisis requires that visits be made by appointment and that it is sometimes necessary to be patient to access the house, the public is always there to live this experience as incredible as unforgettable which, each year, officially marks the beginning of the festivities. The rigorous sanitary measures are also highly appreciated by visitors and the limited number of people present in the house of Santa Claus (not to say of the "Lady Christmas") make it possible to wander in the rooms more easily and to enjoy of this moment to exchange a little with Bernardine who receives the guests in the heart of her house with a tray filled with small shots of rum and sweets to nibble. The exterior illuminations as well as the passage leading to the entrance of the house will transport you into a magical world, children and adults alike never cease to be amazed. Walking past the Santa House is already a feast for the eyes. It is a delight to enter. Admission is free but it is always greatly appreciated to leave a donation in the urn reserved for this purpose in order to contribute to the sustainability of this Saint-Martin institution. _VX
