At that time, a first team of gendarmes intervened. Seeing the arrival of the police, the individual seized a machete, the gendarmes tried to stop him, several onlookers opposed the arrest, the individual managed to escape.
“Then between 30 and 40 people attacked the second neighbor by starting to ransack his house. Reinforcement teams were called in to protect the family, ”explains the gendarmerie commander. "A total of nearly 35 gendarmes were engaged," he said.
The person who had fled was arrested later that day and taken into police custody.
