On Tuesday, August 23, around 10 a.m., a Sint Maarten police patrol went to an address in Cole Bay to intervene in a family dispute that threatened to get out of hand.
Arrived at the said place, the police of Sint Maarten noted the altercation between two members of the family residing at the targeted address. As the row escalated, officers on the scene were alerted that one of those involved may be in possession of narcotics at his Cole Bay home. With the agreement of the owners, a search was carried out at the residence in question. A large quantity of narcotics of various types and cash were discovered by the police in one of the bedrooms of the house and seized immediately. Given this discovery, the suspect, LP Mc.C, was immediately arrested by police and taken into custody at the Philipsburg Police Station. Experts and detectives were called to the scene to search for further evidence and clues in order to advance the investigation which is now underway. _VX
