Over the past few weeks, the Sint Maarten Police Force (KPSM) has received information from members of the public regarding several locations where people are believed to be in possession of firearms and narcotics.
As a result, on August 31, 2022, at approximately 05:45 a.m., several KPSM officers conducted a search of two separate locations, one of which was located on LB Scott Road and the other of a second location in St. Peters, where only an alarm pistol was found and confiscated. On the other hand, on the premises of the residence located on the LB Scott road in Sint Maarten, the police officers observed and seized several objects related to drug trafficking, in particular narcotics and ammunition. During the search, officers also discovered that marijuana was being grown in the resident's yard as well as a marijuana nursery. All plants and plant objects were seized as incriminating evidence. A quantity of cash and dispensing packaging were also found and confiscated. Two suspects were arrested and taken to the police station for questioning. Investigations are still ongoing.
