Already damaged by cyclone Gonzalo, the wastewater treatment plant (STEP) of the Battery subdivision at Friar's Bay was completely destroyed by Hurricane Irma and must be replaced.
Very soon, the Saint-Martin Water and Sanitation Establishment (EEASM) will begin construction of this new station, for which a duration of four months is planned.
The structure will be sized for 450 inhabitants, with the possibility of doubling its capacity in the future, urbanization continuing to develop in this residential area.
