It was while discussing with the inhabitants and the company in charge of collecting seaweed in Cul-de-Sac that Bruno Lebre, co-founder of the Collectif anti-sargasses, had the idea of launching a Sargassum day.
“We are faced with a finishing problem that the excavators will not be able to do,” he explains. “The idea would be to organize a final cleaning by the inhabitants of Cul-de-Sac, on September 3, from 8 am”. According to Bruno, the operation could be completed in half a day if a dozen people mobilize.
The objective is therefore to harvest the last algae polluting the bay using rakes. The collected Sargassum will then be transported to the eco-site by the company in charge of collection. "That's what getting together in a good mood and getting to know each other better," says Bruno Lebre. Several Internet users have indicated their support for this action. _pc
