ENVIRONMENT: Sargassum stranding planned at Oyster Pond and Dawn beach

In its analyzes of January 12, I-SEA identified schools of sargassum near the Guadeloupean coasts, and the northern islands, indicates the Deal of Guadeloupe. These detections triggered the activation on January 14 of the Hydro-Côte drift service to estimate the delays and short-term grounding areas of the sargassum rafts observed. 

Concerning Saint-Martin, strandings are planned today, Thursday and Friday at the level of Oyster Pond and Dawn Beach in the Dutch part. According to observations, most of the rafts pass well to the South and well off the island.
