The die is cast. Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen qualified on Sunday April 10 for the second round of the presidential election, with 28,3% of the votes for the outgoing president, candidate for re-election and 23,3% for the candidate of the National Rally according to the first estimates.
The final duel will therefore be identical to that of 2017, although this presidential election took place in a particular context. After two years of the coronavirus pandemic, war in Ukraine broke out on February 24, forcing Emmanuel Macron to formalize his candidacy at the last moment.
