THEATER: Big thumbs up to the Comedy Show

Two sold-out performances for the Têtes de l'Art troupe last weekend at the Théâtre de la Chapelle with, for each of them, a good slice of fun.

As part of the Comedy Show presented by the McFly Événementiel, the Têtes de l'Art company stormed the stage of the Chapelle theater in Orient Bay for two evenings to offer a series of sketches orchestrated by a master's hand by Laurence Blanc. Surrounded by seven other actors, Laurence Blanc once again proves to us her genius for directing and her love of interpreting and helping people discover colorful characters who are not afraid of anything. Great performance from everyone! The hour-forty-five show made the spectators lose track of time. No decor, but costumes galore. Fifteen sketches followed one another, thus leading the audience into short stories, sometimes absurd, sometimes incredible, but always funny, finely written and with a dimension that makes you think. Like this sketch of a woman who makes the sad observation of the price of each item of clothing that she wears, and that she takes off, thereby denouncing the pressure of the dictates of fashion or that of appearance. Or that of four other women brandishing signs where one could read "Stop advertising" and "I am not an object", where the subtlety lies in this nod to feminism while letting oneself laugh at. the eccentricity of the interpretation. Men are not left out in this evening of comedy, when one brilliantly revisited one of La Fontaine's fables, another was very happy to express to us all the disenchantment he could have for his wife. , it was caustic and hilarious, not unlike Bourvil in the game. The games were sharp and judiciously placed. The playlet of a German teacher speaking in this language provoked a general laugh which still resonates in the room. Each sketch was written by the troupe of actors ... and even if one of the characters could say that it is a luxury to be bored, that was not the case for the audience of the Théâtre de la Chapelle on Friday and Saturday last. _VX
