With the passage of Hurricane Irma, Soualiga College, Elementary School in Cul de Sac and Nina Duverly Elementary School in Marigot are no longer able to accommodate students. The latter have been distributed in other establishments since November. This distribution will remain until the end of the school year.

For the start of the September 2018 academic year, a new distribution of the workforce this time will be made. Until then whole classes have been transferred to other schools so as not to disturb the children, but in September this will no longer be possible for logistical reasons.

At the next school year in September, 7 children are expected according to forecasts and family returns, or 641% of the workforce before Irma. The eighteen establishments are able to accommodate 85 children, 7 in the first grade and 641 in the second. Rooms are being rehabilitated by the COM, some could be finished after the start of the Easter holidays. Prefabricated buildings will also be installed in the school complex.
