Chess: Alexandre Marchi and Jef Follner shine at the Christmas tournament!

0

Last Sunday took place "Chez Jule's" in Cupecoy, the 2nd Chess tournament, called Christmas.

The players played 7 games in 2 × 10 minutes instead of 5 in the 1st tournament because there were more players despite the absence of the Americans. Alexandre Marchi won among the youngsters not without difficulty after starting the tournament with two defeats. He then pulled himself together to finish in apotheosis by beating an adult. The good surprise came from Noaa St-Léger who right away gave herself the luxury of beating an adult for her 1st tournament. With only 3 months of practice, Gabrielle Florent has shown that girls have their place in chess, boys just have to behave!

If Jef Follner wins again overall, it was not easy given the level of Boris Spita, former classified Fide at more than 1800 points. The 2 players delivered a thrilling final. Pascal Djian gets a new podium while significantly raising his level of play. Thank you to the partners. To play: 06 90 55 12 14.
