The companies Fresh Purified Water, Popular Spring Water, Paradise Water and Ooh Fresh purified located in Marigot, Concordia and Quartier d'Orléans have been under administrative closure since July 18. They are prohibited from producing and distributing water intended for human consumption.
Officials had been put on notice at the end of December 2018 by the state services to file an authorization request for the withdrawal and use of water intended for human consumption within six months.
After the deadline, no application for authorization to use water has been submitted to the regional health agency (ARS).
These four establishments must regularize their administrative situation if they want to continue their activities.
Note that Popular Spring Water took samples on July 2 and the Institut Pasteur returned the results on July 12 with the following comment: “'water bacteriologically compliant with quality limits”. It now remains for them to be transmitted and analyzed to the authorities.
