EASM: Work on water and sanitation networks in Grand-Case

0

The Water and Sanitation Establishment is currently carrying out a new phase of work on the water and sanitation network in the center of Grand Case.

The site requires 45 days of work, until early March 2021. It is located between the Grand-Case bridge and the Esperance road, and includes the rue des Lambis. This part of the village center is closed to road traffic during the day, from 7 a.m. to 00 p.m., and reopened in the evening from 16 p.m. to 00 a.m.

Access to the parking lot of the old press remains open to users and two-way traffic is organized on part of Boulevard Bertin Maurice located between the bridge and Rue des Ecoles (see attached map).

These works of public utility are of capital importance since they consist in carrying out an extension of the sewerage network and renewing the drinking water network.

Aware of the constraints for local residents, the Water and Sanitation Establishment carried out a local information campaign with residents and businesses in the area. The elected representative in charge of the Environment, Pascale Laborde, went to the site on Wednesday January 13 to discuss with local residents on the content of this work and the need to complete them as soon as possible. This is the last major phase of work on the water networks in this sector.

The Water and Sanitation Establishment and the Saint-Martin Collectivity thank the residents for their understanding and apologize for the inconvenience caused.
