T-shirts, shorts, socks, shin guards, cleats, footballs, goalkeeper gloves ... All the equipment that the SXM Sport Mouvement association received on Christmas Eve from Jacob Brown, 16-year-old American football player in New Jersey.

Since his birth, Jacob Brown has come to Saint-Martin every year with his parents. The island, and the people he has known there for all

time he stayed there, brought him "a lot of happiness," says Jacob.

Also, after Cyclone Irma, when he saw how it had negatively affected the island, he wanted to bring some happiness to the territory. This was the opportunity to donate sports equipment to a club in the Dutch side.

Player in the PSA Monmouth and Rumson soccer team of the Fair Haven Highschool Varsity, in New Jersey, Jacob Brown worked to recover equipment so that it could be donated to another Saint-Martin association.

After seeing the young people of the SXM Sport Mouvement association play during a competition, his choice was made. On Thursday, December 23, 2021, Jacob handed over all the equipment to Julius Richardson, President of SXM Sport Mouvement, and to Yigui Santana, who coaches the youth of the association's baseball team.

The majority of the people who took part in the fundraiser are part of the football team, but also residents of the town of Fair Haven. New or little used equipment, valued at around US $ 3000, was therefore collected, also with the participation of the Municipality of Fair Haven, which also donated equipment.

The SXM Sport Mouvement association thanks the donors of the city of Fair Haven, and particularly the young Jacob Brown who is the instigator of this donation.
