Ten new projects funded by the Fondation de France with donations collected after Irma

The Fondation de France is one of the organizations that collected most of the donations from the French in the aftermath of Irma's visit via Operation Solidarité Antilles. On a regular basis, it updates the results of its actions which it has financed through donations. Here is the situation three years later.

Amounts collected and used

The amount collected (updated) amounts to 15 euros, of which 221% from the general public / private funds  (€ 12,49 M) and 17% from local authorities (€ 2,56 M); the remaining 1% coming from other financial products.

Two years after the cyclone, 11,52 million euros had been used, in 2019, 12,84 million and as of June 30 of this year, 13,83 million were. Some 1,4 million euros remain to be spent. 92% of the donations used made it possible to finance social missions including projects of operators and associations to the tune of 10,85 million. 1,84 million was devoted to the implementation and monitoring of actions. The processing of donations cost 1,13 million, or 8% of the amount used.

The 15,22 million euros financed actions in Saint-Martin for the most part but also in Saint-Barthélemy, Dominica, Cuba, Haiti, in mainland France or in the West Indies in general. About 80% of the subsidized social missions were in Saint-Martin.
