At the call of the SUD PTT GWA union, the postal workers of La Poste Réseau de Saint-Martin are on an indefinite strike from Wednesday, July 27, 2016. During negotiations on Friday, July 22 and Monday, July 25, La Poste did not want to honor their commitments.
By this strike, they intend to denounce the non-compliance with the labor code following the new ESC configuration (Customer Service Area) of the Marigot Post office whose reopening was carried out in haste by modifying the organization of work and despite common sense, without the compulsory prior holding of the CHSCT.
The SUD PTT GWA union claims:
- The filling of 2 vacant positions (casualization of a fixed-term contract)
- The rejection of the new work organization imposed by the Management without consultation with the staff
- Compulsory preliminary training before setting up this new “ESC” work organization
- Better working conditions
- Respect for social dialogue
