By prefectural decree of October 08, 2017, commissioned agents of the local authority of Saint-Martin are authorized, from October 10, 2017, to carry out the
capture, by all appropriate means, animals wandering on the territory of the community of Saint-Martin and which represent a danger to road safety. In this context, a joint action by the veterinary services, the community and the RSMA has made it possible to set up a system for capturing stray animals on public roads.
To date, Tuesday October 24, 2017, ten pigs have been captured for closed enclosure. The system is currently underway.
