On Saturday April 14, three people were arrested in flagrante delicto, in a stolen vehicle with make-up, as part of the investigation carried out by the Saint-Martin Gendarmerie into the serial phenomenon of car theft which has amplified since the beginning of the year.
An opening of judicial information of the aggravated theft chiefs, concealment in organized gang and association of criminals was opened Monday in Basse-Terre and a young man of Sint-Maarten, of thirty years, who recognized the theft about twenty cars, was referred, charged and placed in pre-trial detention.
The research section of Saint-Martin is continuing the investigations.
