Nature lovers of the island can rejoice! In fact, ten different books on local wildlife are now available at the Amuseum Naturalis, including eight in English and two in French. All the works are illustrated with brightly colored images and beautiful stories about the unique nature of the island. They are published by the association Les Fruits de Mer.

“The latest edition of our wildlife guide was completely sold out. So it's great to have it available again - plus a bunch of other great books! Says author Mark Yokoyama. "Most of them are available in print for the first time, and it's really nice to sit and flip through the pages. We are particularly pleased to have the long awaited French edition of the Saint-Martin wildlife guide! "

The action of publishing the first French edition of the Incomplete Guide to Wild Fauna of Saint-Martin was supported by the AFB (French Agency for Biodiversity) for the Te Me Um Resource Center and its members. The project funded French translation by Amandine Vaslet and the printing of 200 copies for schools. Teachers who want a free copy for their classroom can pick it up at the Amuseum Naturalis.

Copies of the French and English versions of the wildlife guide are also available for teachers in the Quartier d'Orléans, thanks to the Quartier + Musée project funded by CGET and the Collectivity of Saint-Martin as part of the City Policy program. Teachers from Quartier d'Orléans are encouraged to drop by the Amuseum to collect their copies.

For the general public, books are available for purchase at the Amuseum Naturalis at The Old House for $ 10 to $ 20. They are also available on Amazon for those who are not on the island. As always, digital versions can be downloaded for free from lesfruitsdemer.com.

In advance, good reading to all! _AF
