“It is with infinite sadness that I learned of the sudden death of Mrs. Karine Miot Richard. I had the privilege of having Karine by my side as an alternate during my mandate as Member of Parliament for Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin. Our exchanges, the passion she put in her work as a lawyer and in her role as elected representative, will be sorely missed. Karine was a young woman full of life, involved and generous, sensitive and sincere. I address the testimony of my friendship to all the “Saint-Barths” for this cruel loss. I have a very emotional thought for those close to Karine, her friends, her family and especially for her daughters, Marie and Manon. "
