Daniel Gibbs: “You have to take the time to do it right”

0

Daniel Gibbs has already defended the interests of our territory in the National Assembly for four years as a member for the Northern Islands. His parliamentary report was presented last night in the premises of his office in Galisbay.

In front of about thirty guests, our deputy returned to the themes which are close to his heart and which he firmly defends for the territory, including the establishment of a vice-rectorate and a prison establishment. Its information mission on the Collectivity - the report of which was officially submitted to the COM in July 2014 - made it possible to obtain 32 concrete proposals for the island. To achieve his ends, Daniel Gibbs had to hang on: his career was strewn with pitfalls since Saint-Martin “at best unrecognized, at worst suspect, is clearly and continually the victim of hackneyed clichés and improbable fantasies”. Daniel Gibbs entered politics in 2001 - deputy mayor, vice-president of the COM and territorial advisor - to “bring something to his country” by making many personal and professional sacrifices, “always in the interest of Saint-Martin ”. _EH
