V'Nuss, artist name born from the contraction of Vanda-Vanessa Selmar, is a singer from Saint-Martin, settled in the Nantes region. She has just released her first album entitled "So Far From the Mirror".
Resolutely folk rock this opus is tinged with blues and pop. The singer with a soulful voice explained it last mid-December to blogger Eric Guillaud: “Saint-Martin is a real cultural and musical crossroads. If today my heart leans towards rock it is on the one hand to stand out and get out of the clichés "Caribbean = music of the sun or Caribbean music", and especially because after having searched for a long time I find myself in this style ".
“So Far From the Mirror” is the result of a collaboration with the songwriter Bernard Coloma whose songs V'Nuss sings, written sometimes in French, sometimes in English, thus evoking the multilingualism of Saint-Martin.
