Cruise: a scheduled stopover in Sint Maarten next November

0

Carnival Cruise Line, the largest North American shipping company, could set sail again next November. A stopover in Sint Maarten is scheduled by the company.

The cruise line Carnival Cruise Line recently published the schedule for its next cruises, expected in November. An agenda subject to the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic which last March put a stop to the cruise industry. The Carnival Pride, a ship capable of accommodating some 2000 passengers, could resume service and dock in Sint Maarten in early November. The cruise industry, which was worth $ 45 billion last February, has been one of the economic sectors hardest hit by the pandemic. Stock prices for major cruise lines, Carnival, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruises, have slumped at least 80% from their annual highs. Carnival Cruise Line, meanwhile, posted a record second quarter loss of $ 4,4 billion. An 85% drop in revenue compared to the same period in 2019.
