Covid-19: Extension of the curfew in Saint-Martin by one week from 22 p.m.

With 84 new cases of contamination from September 6 to 12 in Saint-Martin, epidemiological indicators confirm a constant downward trend. However, the circulation of the virus remains at a high level (incidence rate at 235 / 100 inhabitants).

In addition, the DELTA variant continues to circulate predominantly. Today, 10 patients are hospitalized at Louis Constant Fleming Hospital. Two deaths in Saint-Martinois last week are to be deplored, and in all, 54 since the start of the epidemic.

The figures show that the mobilization of all is bearing fruit and today allows a reduction in the constraints linked to the health situation.

In this context, the Prefect Serge Gouteyron decided to postpone the start time of the curfew to 22 p.m. from Friday September 17 until Friday September 24.

In addition, the Prefect calls for continued mobilization through the application of barrier gestures and respect for distance. At the same time, vaccination is today the only recognized possibility of combating the transmission of serious forms of the disease. The Prefect encourages vaccination by going to the hospital center or to the city doctor.
