When "the universal postal service" will be "a reality" in Overseas?

0

This is not the first time that the question has been raised by a parliamentarian before the government: when "users [will enjoy] the right to a universal service which corresponds to an offer of postal services of determined quality provided permanently in all point of the territory at affordable prices for all users? In other words, when will postage rates to and from Overseas France drop and approach those charged in France?

Today the question is asked again, this time by a deputy from Guadeloupe. He reminds the Minister of the Economy that sending a parcel from mainland France to Overseas France costs more than sending a parcel to France. He considers "this situation as unjust and discriminatory". “Territorial continuity is not respected. In a context of the fight against the high cost of living and the preservation of purchasing power, such a situation is incomprehensible”, he conceives. The deputy asks if he intends to intervene so that the universal postal service is a reality applied in all the Overseas territories as in France and thus to allow fellow overseas citizens to have products delivered "at affordable prices ". The written question was published in the Official Journal today, it has not yet been answered. (more details on www.soualigapost.com)
