In the Caribbean more than 3,1 million doses of vaccines have been administered according to data from the Pan American Heath Organization (Paho). Just over 7% of the population have already received a first dose, less than 2% both doses.

The French islands are among the territories with the lowest vaccination rate: between 7,5 and 9,3% of the population received a first dose in Martinique, Guadeloupe and Saint-Martin. In Jamaica 4,6% of the population have been vaccinated (1 dose).

Conversely, it is in the Cayman Islands and Turks & Caicos that the greatest number of people have been vaccinated. In the Cayman Islands, 9 in 10 people received a first injection and 4 in 10 both.

Sint Maarten is at the top of the table with over 13% of its population fully vaccinated (over 41% received a dose). In Puerto Rico and Aruba, nearly 45% of the population received one dose and 17% received two doses.

In Curaçao and Montserrat a third of the inhabitants received a first injection. In islands like Antigue, Dominica or Barbados, a quarter of the population (29% in Antigue) was vaccinated the first time but less than 1% received the second injection.
