The rally happened between midnight and 1 a.m. and left many residents of Sint Maarten in disbelief.
The revelers seemed to have planned the event in great detail. Behind a car equipped with a big sound system, everyone started dancing, singing, throwing baby powder in the air!
Alerted, the Dutch police quickly arrived on the scene to interrupt the festivities. The revelers dispersed into the darkness, ending their brief moment of rebellion.
The police have not yet revealed whether arrests took place in the middle of a curfew ...
