After receiving many messages on the sometimes excessive increase in the prices of basic necessities in certain businesses, the president, Daniel Gibbs indicated last Monday to have alerted the Prefect, Sylvie Feucher on these practices which he considers as "unworthy in a crisis situation".
"The absence of a price observatory and too little involvement of the Consumer Competition and Fraud Control service in Guadeloupe strongly penalize our territory and its inhabitants", notes the president of the COM, before adding : Madame la Préfète has undertaken to carry out a price control operation next week, despite her limited human resources, and I thank her very much on behalf of our fellow citizens ”.
