Miss France 2019 competition: Miss Saint-Martin takes part in Paris Match

Alisson Georges, Miss Saint-Martin / Saint-Barthélemy elected last summer, competes for the title of Miss France. During the preparation, the thirty candidates are very much in demand by the media; Alisson was by Paris Match to whom she delivered her wishes and desires.

"I want to become Miss France because many believe that small overseas regions like ours are only figuration in this election, it would be a first for the Northern Islands and I would be proud of it," confides the young woman of eighteen.
She also speaks of Saint-Martin, more generally of the northern islands.

“Of all the regions represented during this election, Saint-Martin Saint-Barthélemy is the only one to bring together more than 30 nations on such a small territory. I am very proud of this particularity which testifies to a diversity and a unique cultural unity. In the northern islands, you will find everything in one place, ”she comments.

Alisson Georges also admits to wanting to mobilize against domestic violence. "If I become Miss France it would be close to my heart to fight" against this scourge, she says.

The Miss France election will take place on Saturday December 15 in Lille. The evening will be broadcast live on TF1 and it will be possible to follow it on the channel's website; evening during which the young Saint-Martinoise will hope to overcome his "great shyness". "This sometimes prevents me from expressing myself convincingly and could serve me, but I work on it every day and intend to overcome this obstacle," she says.
