Prison closed for two youths who stole a scooter

Last Tuesday when getting up, FM discovers that his scooter has been stolen. He then decides to go get it. JMD, an acquaintance, takes him with his two-wheeler. At the Savannah level, the two 18-year-olds are going to take advantage of a traffic jam to steal a scooter from its owner who was stopped in traffic.

They were presented to the criminal court Friday morning under the procedure of immediate appearance.

FM was sentenced to two years in prison with a warrant, and JMD, already sentenced ten times since the age of 12, to one year in prison.

The two individuals must also compensate the victim, the owner of the scooter, who has brought a civil action, up to 370 euros for the material damage suffered, 4 euros for non-pecuniary damage and 000 euros in respect of article 1-500 of the code of criminal procedure (lawyer fees).
