Seniors Territorial Championship Finals
The 2015-2016 season ended on a high note last Sunday for FC Concordia, winner of the Territorial Championship of Saint-Martin!
Like the “Pros”, Saint-Martin footballers played their last official match of the 2015-2016 season last Sunday at the Albéric Richards stadium. Indeed, the SMFA (Saint-Martin Football Association) organized the final phases of the Senior Territorial Championship with two meetings on the program: the match for 3rd place between Junior Stars and Saint-Louis Stars followed by the grand final between FC Concordia at FC Marigot. Despite a real challenge, the Saint-Louis Stars club withdrew, the Junior Stars winning without playing third place on the podium. Fortunately, the long-awaited summit match between the two best teams of the season went according to plan on Sunday at 18 p.m. At the end of a pleasant meeting to follow, FC Concordia was more realistic than its opponent to finally win on the score of three to one. Admittedly, FC Marigot did not deserve it but it was FC Concordia which was the strongest on Sunday and therefore declared CHAMPION of the 2015-2016 season! _AF
