The public prosecutor of the Basse-Terre jurisdiction, Samuel Finielz, recently gave details to the Collectivity concerning the progress of the Detached Chamber of the Basse-Terre tribunal de grande instance on our territory. During the last Territorial Council, the president of the Collectivity Aline Hanson mentioned some new features, including an additional immediate appearance hearing. This session will take place on Friday from January 1, and will therefore complete the Wednesday session. All the first instance files will be directly processed on our territory, specified the president. As for the appeal tribunal, it should be operational soon. _EH
