Community: Training of rescuers in intervention in perilous environments

From April 24 to 28 and from May 15 to 19, 2017, six agents from the Saint-Martin community took part in lifeguard training in hazardous environment intervention (IMP 2 qualification), for a total of 80 hours!

The two weeks of training were provided by pairs of heads of unit (IMP3) from SDIS. The pair of the second week was joined on Wednesday May 17, 2017 by the members of the jury, the technical climbing advisers of the zone, the commander Roger COMBE of the SDIS 971 and the adjutant Miguel TYBURN of the SDIS 972, to prepare the tests of evaluation scheduled for May 18 and 19, 2017.

The six agents had undergone an initial training and sensitization and detection of one week in 2016; This year the community having acquired the equipment, it was a question of setting up this essential training action because in terms of intervention in perilous environment for the moment there is no operational unit and the he island depends on the mobilization of the DRAGON 971 Civil Security helicopter and members of the GRIMP from Guadeloupe…

The six agents passed the tests (continuous training, written test, progression on a technical course, equipment of sites, implementation of rescue devices).
