Unemployment: slight improvement in Saint-Martin

Pôle emploi Guadeloupe released the unemployment figures for the month of November. In Saint-Martin, the number of job seekers registered in category A decreased slightly, compared to the previous month.   

At the end of November, the number of job seekers in category A decreased by 1,50% in Saint-Martin: 67 people are no longer registered with Pôle emploi. In the territory, 4.407 people hope to find work. In detail: 1.822 men are registered with the agency; 2.585 women; 520 young people under 25 and 1.330 people aged 50 and over. In Saint-Barthélemy, there is also a drop of 16,52% for category A. On the Pôle emploi lists, 74 fewer people are registered. At the end of November, 374 people were looking for work, including 209 women.

In Guadeloupe: slight decrease

The number of job seekers registered with Pôle emploi category A stands at 57.350 in Guadeloupe, with a drop of 0,2% compared to the end of October.

In France: a little respite

According to figures from Pôle emploi and the Ministry of Labor, the number of job seekers in category A decreased by 0,4%, a decrease of 15.000 people. Taking into account overseas, the number of job seekers is 3.833.400 for category A. Note that long-term unemployment continues to increase.
