Celebration of the 27th edition of the Week of the French language and Francophonie (continuation and end)

Several schools, the four colleges of the Northern Islands and the Lycée Robert Weinum participated with great enthusiasm in the celebration of the Week of the French language and the Francophonie which took place this year from March 14 to 18, 2022.

This is an opportunity to demonstrate one's attachment to the French language by celebrating its richness and diversity through activities and student productions.

At Robert Weinum high school and Soualiga college, Ms. Hauck's allophone students have developed a work  based on the definition of the Francophonie and the place of the French language in the world. A time of writing gave place to the realization of presentations under various forms (panel, calligram, poetic text..) translating the report/ratio of the pupil with the French language through an emotion.

In the Quartier d'Orléans area, To close the event, Mr. Revol, a UPE2A teacher at the college, invited the students of Madame Bastard, an elementary school teacher, to exhibit their productions at the CDI in order to unite their work with that of the greatest: maps of La Francophonie in the Caribbean and in the world, cultural symbols of the Francophonie, portraits of some French personalities through the ages (singers, writers, etc.) who make or have made French shine in the world. This inter-degree meeting ended in music and poetry with songs in French, the reading of small poems composed of certain words proposed by the competition "tell me ten words" and also by the speaking of certain students. who presented cultural particularities of their country of origin.

This year again, the week of the French language and the Francophonie was rich in events and works of all kinds in the northern islands. Everyone participated with great pleasure in this event. It was also an opportunity to discover, sometimes with astonishment, other students who are not in UPE2A, the singularity and the place of the French language in the world.
