Sun, colors, party favors, music, sparkling costumes and floats, each one more beautiful than the other, were there yesterday in the streets of Marigot for the grand parade of adults organized by the Committee “Les Carnivales Carnavalesques de Saint -Martin ". An event prepared for several weeks that won the hearts of young and old!
After the "Jouvert Morning" (parade in pajamas) and the long-awaited Reggae All Ways concert on Saturday evening, the other major event of the weekend was the big adult parade on Sunday, with the presence of eight floats and numerous troops (Survivors, Hot 'n Spicy, The Happy Crew, Nu Style, Oxygène, Asso Los Dominicanos and Bacchanal Storm). About 500 carnivalists from different groups paraded in Marigot to the beat of wild music, wearing more original costumes than each other. The afternoon, under the sign of conviviality, turned out to be a great success with the population and the many tourists present.
The festivities continue this evening at the Carnival Village with the concert at 20 pm of the group "Kompas Flavor".
Tuesday February 28, return to the streets of Marigot with the Mardi Gras Parade. Finally, Wednesday, March 1, the end of Carnival 2017 with "Wet Fete II" in black and white followed by the closing concert at the Carnival Village. A whole festive program not to be missed!_AF
