Report on regional seismicity

According to the latest report by the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Guadeloupe (OVSG-IPGP), the regional telluric activity for the month of September is stable, comparable to that of the previous months. Concerning the Northern Islands, a moderate earthquake of magnitude 4,1 was recorded on September 22 last 40 km east-south-east of Saint-Barthélemy, 86 km deep. This earthquake was slightly felt in Saint-Barth and Saint-Martin. The observatory recorded a total of 174 earthquakes of tectonic origin, of maximum magnitude 4,3, in a region of 450 km around Guadeloupe.
