At the request of the Vice-Prosecutor of the Republic to the detached prosecution, the gendarmerie company of Saint-Martin carried out on Monday April 16, a judicial operation within the framework of the missions of the COTAF (Territorial Anti Fraud Committee) on 3 sites Orleans district likely to host underground garages.
On this occasion, the gendarmerie obtained the assistance of an ICPE inspector from DEAL Guadeloupe (Department of Environment, Planning and Housing), two PAF officials.
During this operation, breaches of labor legislation were identified and resulted in the removal of 10 vehicles, the majority of which consist of ELVs (end-of-life vehicles) as well as the seizure of various materials and tools used for the commission of these offenses.
COTAF's action will be long-term. The controls will intensify on all the districts of the island.
