Friendly Caribbean Beach-Tennis (FCBT), the only club affiliated to the French Tennis Federation (FFT), recently organized an “FFT BT 1000” on these 4 courts at Palm Beach-Mont Vernon.
A prize money of 1000 euros was offered on the occasion of this 4th Summer Tournament. 42 players registered quickly, from 14 to 65 years old. Players from St Barth and Guadeloupe made the trip.
Beach Tennis is a unique very friendly atmosphere and easy technique that allow everyone to have wonderful moments of joy and sport. Many players were discovering the competition for the first time and were able to face competitors classified in the French top 50.
A raffle was organized during the tournament. The money collected will be used to purchase plants to revegetate the surroundings of these 4 sites.
In terms of results, the hierarchy was respected with the victory for the ladies of the pair Julie Labrit - Juliette Nicolas and for the men the expected success of the duo Tom Lamort - Davy Pivert.
Well done to them and to all the participants, not to mention the organizers!
