From October 2 to 24, 2021, the collective exhibition of the Arte Laguna Prize will take place at the Arsenal Nord in Venice. An exhibition which, because of the health crisis, will present the finalists of the 14th and 15th editions of the competition.
Florence Poirier-Nkpa who lives and works in Saint-Martin regularly participates in international exhibitions. One of his linocuts, produced in collaboration with the Nigerian artist Ade Adesina, is among those of the 120 finalists of the 15th edition of this prestigious exhibition that is the Arte Laguna Prize, in the “Painting” category, although she takes part in it by presenting a linocut, which is one of her latest techniques.
This exhibition, which is a 360 ° panorama of international contemporary art, will present works of painting, photographic art, sculpture and installation, video art and short films, performance, art virtual, digital graphics, land art, urban art and design.
The opening and the award ceremony will take place on Saturday October 2, from 17 p.m. During the evening, the 7 absolute winners of the two editions will be rewarded, receiving a cash prize of 10 euros each, as well as the 000 artists chosen by the international partners of the Arte Laguna Prize for participation in residencies of art, gallery exhibitions, festivals, collaborations with companies and awards for the artistic reuse of recycled materials.
The artist Florence Poirier-Nkpa is also part of a selection of 15 artists finalists of the Arte Laguna Prize which exhibits, with 15 Mauritian artists, at the Caudan Arts Center in Mauritius. Exhibition which is in place from July 16 until August 14, 2021, as an exclusive preview of the great Venice exhibition.
The inauguration of the final exhibition of the Arte Laguna Prize will take place on October 2, 2021, at 17 p.m., by reservation, and from October 3 to 24 visitors will be able to visit the exhibition from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m.
