A week before the truce for confectioners (Wednesday, December 16), the Avenir Sportif Club de Saint-Martin celebrated its 20th anniversary. 20 years that President Patrick Trival, former athlete, has devoted to sharing his passion with everyone.
It was at La Halle des Sports du Jean-Louis Vanterpool that he gathered around him his athletes, club coaches, members of the association, sponsors, as well as representatives of partner clubs, to demonstrate its attachment to the values of sport. He also recalled his will and his commitment to bring out, just as he had done with Sareena Carti, the future nuggets of Saint-Martin athletics.
The testimonies of those present underlined Patrick Trival's generosity, his patience and his ability to inspire in everyone the desire to take up new challenges. Always keen to offer everyone the opportunity to flourish through athletics, the club always goes further and has never hesitated to engage in new projects: the baby athlete who welcomes the little ones from the start. age 4, La Saint Martinoise 100% female race, the Color Fun Run, Sport and Health activities with seniors, extracurricular activities.
Other regular meetings have punctuated and still punctuate the life of the ASCM and the runners of the island: the Foulées de la Rentrée, the 10 km, the Cross de la Rentrée, etc.
The club has also had the opportunity to organize many track competitions in the past, and often travels to other territories to take part in meetings, to the delight of the athletes.
The post-Irma infrastructure conditions, but also the health crisis have put a brake on certain activities, but ASCSM welcomes the enthusiasm of the many parents who entrust their children to it, and remains optimistic about the possibility of organizing in 2021 a track competition in addition to the races scheduled.
Many projects in perspective, but if we must remember only one thing it is: Happy Birthday Avenir Sportif Club de Saint Martin, Thank you Mr Patrick!
