As part of the plan to revitalize the city center and the Grand Marigot, the COM will launch this year the development of the space in front of La Poste and the courthouse for an amount of 1,1 million euros.
"The layout of this very busy space plans to extend the renovation not only to the median in front of the court and the Post Office, but also to the Methodist church and to" Chapel gap ", the paved alley along the church . The goal is to give new life to this place, which has become depressing, with its four famished trees, its disaster-stricken church, the invariable queue in full sun in front of the Post Office and the lack of urban furniture ”, details the COM.
Three large trees which will provide shade will be planted; existing ones will be kept. Benches will be installed as well as an awning on the facade of La Poste.
Parking spaces will be limited.
