SAILING: Saint-Martin will be the start of Challenge Ocean's 2020 return transatlantic race

Challenge Ocean has chosen Saint-Martin as the start for its return transatlantic this year.

The boats will set sail on December 23 towards Lorient, which they should join after 28 days at sea. A stopover is also scheduled in the Azores.

This 3-mile transatlantic race has the particularity of addressing people who dream of such an adventure but who do not have the material means to do so. Indeed, Challenge Ocean offers sailors to embark as team members aboard a 500-meter monohull. Supervised by two professional graduates of Captain 21 Sailing and State Brevet, they will sail in real racing conditions.

Arrival in Brittany is scheduled for January 19.
