The overall enrollment forecast for the start of the 2020 school year indicates a drop in the number of pupils of around 2,5%. This is a trend that has been confirmed for several years.

Regarding the first level (nursery and elementary), the expected numbers are 3 students in 634, a decrease of 2020% compared to the start of the 2,5 school year. For the second level, 2019 students are planned in secondary schools on the island and 1 for high schools. That is a total of 900 college and high school students this year, against 1 in 584 (-3%). In terms of infrastructure and establishments, the education service of Saint-Martin affirms that all post-Irma repairs have been completed and that the work in progress or to be carried out is in the order of the remodernization of schools.
