WHO has not yet made recommendations regarding stays in affected areas. In Saint-Martin, since the start of surveillance, only one person has been confirmed to be biologically infected with the virus. "The symptoms are most often flu-like (fever, headache, muscle aches) with skin rashes and appear within 3 to 12 days following the bite by the infected mosquito," recalls the prefecture.
